The Interspill Conference Committee have initiated the process by which industry stakeholder-authors are invited to submit abstracts for content consideration for the event.
Interspill, Europe’s premier event for oil spill research, prevention, preparedness, response and restoration, has launched the ‘Call for Papers’ for the 2025 event.
The triennial Conference and Exhibition, which unites international stakeholders involved in the marine spill sector, will be held at ExCeL London on 8–10 April 2025. This will be its 10th edition and 25th anniversary year.
The organisers now seek abstract submissions across a range of topics, which will form the Interspill 2025 Conference streams. Circa 30 topics have been arranged within 10 theme categories, namely:
- Alternative fuels (and response to them)
- Case histories
- Contingency, planning and preparedness
- Environmental, social and governance of spill response
- Incident and crisis management
- Outreach and communication
- Plastics and marine litter
- Response updates
- Shipping risks
- Surveillance, modelling and visualisation
Authors are requested to submit a short abstract, up to 250 words, by email to info@interspill.org, by 4 June 2024.
Authors are requested to indicate whether their paper is for the Conference, for the Poster Exhibition, for the Academic and Science Workshops, or for the Industry and Innovation Seminars. Authors will be notified of acceptance by 19 July 2024, then a more detailed abstract of 500 words (inclusive of speaker biography and photos for website) will be required for consideration by 16 September 2024.
