Interspill 2022 Call for Papers deadline extended to 31 October 2021

At the Interspill Technical Conference Committee Meeting last week it was agreed that the deadline for submission of abstracts would be extended by one month to 31 October 2021.

The Committee was delighted  with the number and quality of the abstracts received so far, however in order to ensure that the selection of topics and presenters is both wide and diverse, has extended the deadline and encourages further submissions.

When reviewing abstracts, as well as the overall quality of the abstract, the Interspill Technical Conference Committee will take into account whether the content is relevant to the programme, its originality, whether it promotes knowledge and understanding of the wider oil spill response community and whether it demonstrates diversity, equality and inclusion within the oil spill community.

The conference will hear papers delivered by academics, industry practitioners, manufacturers and innovators along the following streams:

  • Offshore
  • Sub Sea
  • Dispersants
  • Shipping Risks
  • Inland Risks
  • Plastic pollution and Marine Litter
  • Non-Hydrocarbon incidents
  • Crisis and Incident Management
  • Outreach and Engagement
  • Surveillance, Modelling and Visualisation

The Conference is nothing without quality speakers and we seek all who wish to share their knowledge to submit 250 word abstracts of papers to Call4papers@interspill.org by 31 October 2021.

Authors are requested to indicate whether their paper is for the conference, the poster exhibition, academic, science or innovation workshops or spill industry seminars.

Authors will be notified of acceptance by 30 November 2021 and extended abstracts of 500 – 1000 words will be required for consideration by 28 February 2022.
